Thank you for visiting! According to Greek mythology, Clio is the muse of hIstory. She is typically shown holding a scroll, a book, and sometimes with a water clock or trumpet. These symbols represent Clio’s role of ‘proclaiming’ the stories of the past, so that they will not be forgotten.

Who am I?

Passionate

I started as a History teacher. I love learning about the stories of the past. The human experience passes down wisdom and wonder. All of my years of teaching history has taught me that my students love stories. They love a good story. History does more that tell stories, though. It teaches us lessons. It inspires us, encourages us, challenges us, and even warns us. History prompts us to look at the humans that came before us and reflect on their deeds of the past.

I believe that no other subject in school can give students the time to observe how all the other subjects come together and shape the human experience.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Inquisitive

History also should be about asking questions. Each story about the past should be a starting point to explore more about a topic. Inquiry skills are key for our students. They should learn how to develop a question. Then, they should know how to investigate by analyzing sources about the past. This is a good foundation for historical research. The great thing about all this is that Middle School and High School-aged kids are very inquisitive by nature. History should be the perfect place for students to practice their inherent habits.
